Intro to Audio and Music Technology

This intensive Introductory Course explores the basics of sound engineering, audio and music technology. It equips students with an understanding of what is required to produce high-quality tracks.
With classes taking place in the world-class facilities of Windmill Lane Recording Studios, this course the key areas required to work in music production and audio engineering.
Subjects covered include:
- Recording studios & recording
- Compression, EQ & Effects
- Introduction to Pro Tools
- Creating a track, working with MIDI, editing
- Recording instruments & vocals
- Propellorhead Reason/Ableton Live
- Home studio set-up
- Mixing techniques
- Live sound
On completion of this course, students will be awarded a Pulse College Certificate of Merit, and will be in a position to advance to our BA (Hons) Degree in Audio & Music Technology and BA (Hons) Degree in Music Production.

Prospective students should display an enthusiasm for music and sound, and a desire to take music ideas from initial concept to finished product. There are no minimum academic requirements for acceptance onto this course.
