Pulse College's new Film & TV Course commences this September 2010.

Designed for today's new generation of film makers, this diploma in film production was created for people who share a passion for the creative arts. With an equal balance of theory, hands-on and real world experience, these intensive full and part-time courses are a must for any aspiring filmmaker.

Due to the constant changes in technology, filmmaking requires a combination of many skill sets.

Our passionate and experienced teaching staff, together with top industry guest lecturers, will train you to become multi-skilled in all of the elements of film making.

Show Reel

As well as acquiring the necessary qualifications, throughout the year students must produce a high quality show reel to give potential employers examples of their technical and creative skills.
During the year you will produce a:

  • Film Short (which will be submitted to various film festivals)
  • Music Video (by collaborating with our 2nd year sound students)
  • Television Advert (pitch your ideas to a company and produce an advert they can use)

Equipment

Learn your trade using "real-world" equipment.

  • Shoot your show reel in HD with the new Sony PMW EX 1 cameras.
  • Light your creation with the professional Ianiro and Kino Flo lighting rigs.
  • Add stunning backdrops to your presentations using Green Screen techniques.
  • Edit your work on the industry standard Avid™Media Composer and Apple's™ Final Cut Pro Systems.
  • Stylise your images with imaginative Graphics with Apple's™ Motion.
