Noel Quinn has been involved in the film business for almost forty years. His sound credits include Michael Collins, Veronica Guerin, Laws of Attraction and The Honeymooners. In 1989 he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his work on The Hijacking of the Achille Lauro. Noel has lectured extensively on film sound in Ireland and now lecturers at Pulse College in Dublin.
Farah Abushwesha is a writer and producer. She is the founder and moderator of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum. Her production credits include Pressure, Suite Francaise, Brandnewu, The Rise, Scouting Book for Boys, Micromen and she is developing a slate of project. She is the author of The Rocliffe Notes – A professional approach to screenwriting & filmmaking.
Ciarán has been working as a director of photography in the film and television industry for the past twenty five years.
In TV drama production, he has been commissioned by RTE, TG4, BBC, ITV, Hallmark USA, HBO USA, ZDF, TF1 and PBS (most recent: 2013 “Jack Taylor” episode 6 “tinkers”)
Ciarán has been director of photography on many cinema features. Most recent: 2013 “House of Shadows” filmed in Italy.
He has been shooting and directing TV documentary programs throughout his career and his work has been nominated three times for the cinematography category at the Irish Film And Television Awards. He is the 2014 President of The Irish Society Of Cinematographers (ISC).
Keith Bailey, Final Cut Trainer. With a PhD in the Aerodynamics of International America’s Cup Class yachts, he changed career direction deciding to follow his love of film, becoming Final Cut Studio Master. Keith now trains in all products in the Final Cut Studio Suite and also is an Adobe Certified Instructor in Premiere Pro.
Lorcan Dunne is a digital cinematographer and broadcast practitioner. With over eight years experience of filming, editing and colour grading, he has a deep understanding of every phase of production, from acquisition to exhibition.
Recently, he was Director of Photography on the award winning documentary, Danger Overhead Powerlines and he has produced videos for McDonalds, ESB Networks and City & Guilds, Europe.
Lorcan is the Director of an Outside Broadcast company, specializing in multi-camera coverage and screens for live events. As a TV/film practitioner, he instils the importance of camera craft and of staying abreast of emerging broadcast technologies.
Thomas McGraw Lewis
Thomas McGraw Lewis is a Dublin-based filmmaker, educator and researcher. He has worked closely with the Irish Film Institute, the Irish Film Board/BSÉ, the Arts Council and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. During his PhD he was the PRTLI-funded Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media Research Scholar with the DIT School of Media.
His film work includes fine art, documentary, advertising, fashion campaigns and educational material, and screens throughout Europe and the United States. He has taught film, media and journalism in institutions across Ireland and the American east coast.
Ciaran is an actor, stunt performer, stage combat instructor and fight choreographer. He has trained with the Irish Dramatic Combat Academy and the Society of American Fight Directors. He currently teaches stage combat at the Gaiety School of Acting and the Lir Academy of Dramatic Art and has choreographed fights for various stage and screen productions throughout Ireland. TV and film credits include The Tudors, Saving the Titanic, Ripper Street, Vikings and Game of Thrones.
Tom Hall has worked with many leading film industry figures in Ireland and has taught scriptwriting and filmmaking courses at Collaiste Dhulaigh, NUI Galway, The Factory, The Gaiety School of Acting, Filmbase and the Irish Writer’s Centre. Tom is also an award-winning writer of fiction, a critic, columnist and one time screen editor of The Dubliner magazine. His best known work is ‘Bachelors Walk’ (2000-06), a comedy/drama series for Accomplice Television which was funded by RTE, the IFB and BBC Choice. It ran for three series and an Xmas special and won the IFTA award for best television show in 2002. Tom was one of three co-creators/writers/directors on all twenty episodes.
Baz Al-Rawi is a cinematographer and artist. A graduate of the National Film School at IADT and the University of Westminster, he has been a director of photography across a range of Irish and international productions since 2007, including feature documentaries, short and feature dramas and artist films. He has been involved in film education since 2007, and has worked closely with the Irish Film Institute, Filmbase, LSAD and Pulse college in delivering courses and workshops on visual literacy and cinematography.

To enrol on a professional film training course with Pulse College, there is no age limit and the only prerequisite is a passion for film. Applicants may be accepted without formal academic qualifications, and everyone is offered an interview regardless of prior experience or academic qualifications.
During the interview process, you need to show us your passion for film and media. A portfolio of work which expresses your creative abilities is recommended, but not a necessity.
