From concept to development we will provide a supportive environment that will see your natural writing talent shine through.
Screen writers lab is a five day intensive course which has an interactive and proactive approach rather than focussing on theory. It is aimed at inspiring, nurturing and stimulating you to create your own ideas and develop skills as a screenwriter.

From Start to Finish this course will assist you to
- generate filmic ideas
- be creative with writing exercises
- be confident in your own abilities
- understand how short films work and how they are a necessary part of a career path
- use correct script formats and layouts
- understand how the industry works
- introduce you to some industry guests
- make a short film within the course
- understand how to receive and give feedback
- understand how to apply for film funding
- promote your film script and yourself
- network in the film industry and know where to network
- Apply to and attend Film Festivals – creating a strategy for film submission

Most people think they can’t write a script but it’s not rocket science we’ve all got more than one film idea in us. This course is designed to break the myths with exercises, case studies and interactive tasks.

It’s about knowing how to get your ideas down on paper and turn them into film scripts. This is not about being a great writer or doing well at school or having a degree - it about making a small shift and taping into your own experiences and turning them into a script or filmic proposal - turning a good idea into a compelling one and showing you how to best present yourself.

On this intensive one-week workshop, we will give practical and creative exercises, personal feedback, film-making in class to help you get a better idea how to prepare yourself and develop an idea into a script for the market, tap into funding and write your way into the film industry.
