Pulse Students to Receive Leonardo Grant
Pulse College are delighted to announce that they have succeeded in securing funding from Leonardo European Mobility Scheme 2010. This financial support will be used to give the lucky second year students the opportunity for a fully funded work placement in some of the UK’s most prestigious digital media companies.
The fund from the scheme will cover accommodation, travel expenses and insurance relieving much of the financial pressure incurred when taking work placements. The Pulse students who participant will train in state-of-the-art facilities, gain practical work experience and industry insight. Students will return to Ireland with knowledge and creative ability to adapt to the changing landscape of the Irish multimedia industry.
“The calibre of the projects and placements in 2009 was exceptional. Some of the projects and clients of the organisations included: James Bond Casino Royal, Slumdog Millionaire, The Duchess, Michael Clayton, Grand Designs, Top Gear, Little Britian, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, and Girls Aloud. 2010 is expected to be no different” explains Naomi Moore, director of the college.
The submissions this year were to a very high standard and congratulations to the students who will be taking up their work placements in the UK in April.
